SO I splurged and got a Plasma...went to Circuit City and Best Buy doing my shopping..settled into a 42 incher that would not break the budget. Decide on a Phillips from Circuit City. No problem getting it home and set up, every thing looked great, then I noticed some wierdness. The screen kept glitching, like pushing the degauss button on old computer monitors...was it me or the X coming back to haunt me?? Called up Circuit City and they said call tech support..who then said can't be the TV...must be the cable. Called Comcast who said must be the TV..does it happen when you watch DVD's?? No it doesn't, but wait there it is just not as pronounced...called back Phillips and told em, OK bring it to a service center, our nearest is 1 1/2 away...what? Second largest city in Oregon (Eugene) and you don't have a service center here? Call CC and whine, so they said OK bring it back and we'll replace. Get a brand new one and hook it up and it has 5 thin lines of color running from top to bottom on the left side...called em back and told them hoping they would not blame me for them..NP..upgraded to a Samsung 42 incher..
All in all Circuit City was great..don't know if it was just a Phillips glitch or systemic problem..but real happy with the Samsung..now if I could just get more that 6 HD channels from Comcast and more movie choices!

I recently bought a 42 inch plasma tv....woohoo High Def! This was the good life! Yea was I dreaming! My Comcast with all it's digital technology can only offer me 6 HD channels, (but we'll have more in a few years) and even these still pixillate. Thats when I thought to myself, it would be great if companies actually made the products I want.
Are they listening? How come I am never part of thier focus group? Boy would I give them a piece of my mind.Well here is my focus group. Join in! Drop them a line!. Got a review, want to rant or rave? Want to save others a bad experinece or save them a bundle? Post it. And don't forget to rate our advertizers....you decide whose ads you see or don't. (Once we find advertisers brave enough!)

What do you want? I know what I want. Sustainabilty, safety, quality, low enviromental impact, inovation. This is what I expect from my cunsumer goods. But most of all I expect good value for my hard earned dollar!
